Denver (KDVR) - A late-May snowstorm moves into Colorado. The Pinpoint Weather team has published weather watch days set for Friday and Saturday.


Here is an overview of Denver's storm schedule:


  • Morning flight: fog
  • 10 a.m.: Showers
  • Noon: Mixed rain/snow
  • 5 pm: Mix it with ice
  • 19:00: Snow
  • Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Nevada


What causes a winter storm warning?


Meteorologist Chris Tomer said he's very concerned about the hills where the deep, wet snow is accumulating. This is where this storm will strike. Power outages may be possible.

The wild card in Denver and the I-25 corridor is the deciding factor. How much of this snow is melting? Tomer said he thinks a lot of things lead to a reduction in snow total.

The snow will continue until Saturday morning, then will clear up at around 10 AM. M. In Denver and even earlier in Northern Colorado.

  • Hills: foot to two feet
  • Palm section: 6-12 inches
  • Denver: 1 to 6 inches
  • Fort Collins: 1 inch
  • Greeley: 0-1 inch
  • Love country: 1 inch
  • Farm Height: 2 to 8 inches
  • Parker: 3 to 8 inches

Pinpoint Weather forecasts two frosts in Denver. One on Saturday morning and the other on Sunday morning.

Sunday morning will be dry with a 10% chance of afternoon rain. Highs will be in the forties at about 50 degrees.


Monday has a 20% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. That probability rises to 40% on Tuesday.
