Popular comedy group The Try Guys has cut ties with Ned Fulmer, one of the four founding members, who has admitted to having a "consensual" working relationship.


"Ned Vollmer is no longer working with The Try Guys," the band said in a tweet on Tuesday. "After a thorough internal review, we see no way forward together. Thank you for your support as we move forward with this change."


Vollmer, in a Twitter post shortly after Try Guys' announcement, confirmed rumors circulating on social media that he was involved in an extramarital affair.


"Family should always have been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual working relationship," Vollmer said in the post. Referring to his wife, he said, "I am sorry for the pain my actions have caused to men and fans, especially Ariel."


"The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my kids, and that's where I'm going to focus my attention," Vollmer added.


Ariel Vollmer wrote in one of his Instagram posts: "Thank you to everyone who reached out to me, it means a lot. Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family, and all we ask of you right now is that you respect us." privacy for our children.


Prior to the Try Guys announcement, fans posting on online forums noted that Fulmer did not appear in the group's recent videos, and in some cases was cut from previous episodes.


With Vollmer's departure, The Try Guys will feature the three remaining members: Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang. The group began their career at BuzzFeed, before leaving the digital media company in June 2018 to form their own production company, 2nd Try. A Try Guys spokesperson did not respond to a request for additional information.


The Try Guys, with his brand ready to try just about anything, has produced videos showing men doing everything from simulating pain during childbirth to trying snowboarding in Alaska to parking 18-wheelers to nail extensions. Try Guys currently have 7.8 million subscribers on their YouTube channel.


Among the first videos posted on BuzzFeed was "Guys Try Ladies' Underwear for First Time", which went viral in 2014 and currently has over 22 million views. The group wrote a popular book called "The Hidden Power of a Fucker" and was featured in the documentary "Behind the Attempt."


The Try Guys also had a Food Network show, "No-Recipe Road Trip With the Try Guys," produced by Beyond Productions, which premiered on Network Television and Discovery+ in August 2022. In the series, which features all the members, The Try guys put their culinary instincts to the test to recreate signature menu items at restaurants across the country, without additional recipes or instructions.
