Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade Survives Cancer

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has died at the age of 23 after a battle with cancer. The Minecraft community is quite large, which should come as no surprise given that the game has sold over 238 million copies and is available on a variety of platforms. The community is what has kept the game alive and a massive success for so long, major YouTubers have helped keep the game going in big ways. One of those numbers was YouTuber Technoblade, who has amassed over 10 million subscribers in nearly a decade. The oldest YouTuber video dates back to 2013 and his channel highlights his love and passion for gaming as well as his immense creativity.

Sadly, Technoblade's father recently uploaded a video to his YouTube channel announcing the death of the beloved creator at the age of 23. Technoblade, real name Alex, died of cancer and spent his final hours writing a letter to his fans for his father to read. About eight hours after completing the message, the Technoblade died. Technoblad's father recounted his son's last days and love for him before leaving the screen black with a message from all of his family. The family pondered the Technomancer's desire to "delight and reward his audience" through videos and other activities. His family has indicated that they want his true identity to remain confidential and have asked the public to continue to respect this and the family's privacy at this time.

The Technoblad family wrote: "The past year has seen many difficult times for our son as he has been battling stage 4 cancer." “But he did not complain and continued to use his famous strategic mind to try to beat what he knew were near-impossible odds. My son’s courage on this path was a shining lesson for all of us who have had the honor to walk. Thank you for sharing your journey through it all, and doing the work you loved, for your beloved audience .

Many fans in the YouTube comments expressed their grief over the loss of Technoblad, but also remembered all the beautiful memories you left behind. The same was said on Twitter, where many Minecraft creators, server owners, and YouTube community members paid tribute.
