Kyrie Irving mentioned in The Dead End on Future With Nets

Kyrie Irving is in a "stalemate" over his future with the Brooklyn Nets, according to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Sources told The Athletic that discussions about Irving's future are pending between him and the Nets.

"There is currently an impasse between the two parties that is paving the way for the seven-time All-Star team to consider the open market," the sources said.

Irving played only 29 games for the Nets last season after refusing a vaccination as required by New York City.

Then the Boston Celtics quickly swept the net.

Irving posted a tweet on Twitter shortly after the Shranya report came out.

It stands to reason that if Irving left the network, whether through free agency or signing and trading, Kevin Durant wouldn't be too late.

Brooklyn could find itself in a domino mode where all the major players ask.
